When to call

From a dead remote to a burned-out motor

An opener problem isn't always the opener. A door that reverses on its own is often a misaligned safety sensor; a door that won't move at all can be a broken spring the motor can't lift. We diagnose the real cause first so you're not paying for a new opener you didn't need.

When an opener genuinely is done (stripped gears, a fried logic board, or a unit old enough that parts are gone), we install a new one and program your remotes and keypad before we leave. Belt-drive units are our default for attached garages because they run noticeably quieter.

Opener Repair questions

Is it worth repairing an old opener or should I replace it?
If the unit is under about ten years old and the fix is a sensor, gear, or remote, a repair is usually the better spend. Older than that, or a bad logic board, and a new belt-drive opener often costs about the same and runs far quieter. We'll give you both prices.
Why does my door reverse before it closes?
Nine times out of ten it's the two safety sensors near the floor, knocked out of alignment or blocked. It can also be the close-force or travel setting. We realign and re-set them as part of the call.
Can you match a remote to my existing opener?
Usually, yes, as long as the opener is a supported model we can supply and program a compatible remote or keypad. Bring the brand and we'll confirm.
